hololive Next NEWS | Making Everyday Streams Even More Fun! New Streaming App “hololive raku” Arrives

Looking toward the 10th anniversary, hololive production’s “everyday streams” are evolving, too.

On “hololive Next,” we announced hololive production’s new streaming app, “hololive raku.”

Its theme is:“The usual home streams… Even more stunning. Even more fun.”

This new app was developed to further enrich the visual presentation of the “home streams” our talents regularly host, with the goal of creating a streaming experience that talents and fans can enjoy together even more.

How will “raku” change streaming at hololive production going forward? Let’s take a look at its features.

1. Making Everyday “Home Streams” Even Richer

With “raku,” talents can create richer visual experiences than ever before, even during their regular streams from home.

In addition to the realistic lighting and textures developed through productions such as birthday live performances, camera angles can be freely changed to suit the content and concept of each stream.

Even for everyday chatting and game streams, talents will be able to create a variety of visual layouts tailored to their concepts.

Furthermore, high-quality stages and items previously created for studio streams and “Holoearth” can now also be used in home streams through “raku.”

From streams featuring special stages to creating spaces tailored to a particular concept.
Even within the everyday setting of a “home stream,” talents can bring a wide variety of ideas and forms of expression to life.

2. Making Talent Expressions and Movements Even More Realistic

The evolution goes beyond the visuals, with new possibilities for the talents’ own expressions and movements.

“raku” supports COVER’s proprietary facial expression technology, “holoEmotion,” enabling talents’ expressions to be conveyed with greater richness than ever before.

It also features technology that links the movements of keyboards, mice, gamepads, and other devices that talents are actually using to the movements shown on screen.

From the way they get immersed in a game to subtle gestures and reactions.
We aim to create a streaming experience where you can feel the talents’ “movements in the moment” more vividly than ever before.

The collaboration features have also been further enhanced.
Interactions and reactions between multiple talents can now be enjoyed in an even more natural and immersive way.

3. More Than Just Watching. A Streaming Experience Fans Can Be Part Of

“raku” also offers features that allow fans and talents to enjoy streams together.

Viewers can participate in real time through features such as mini-games and polls linked to YouTube chat.

Rather than simply supporting talents through comments, viewers can influence the stream itself through their participation and enjoy various activities together with the talents.

We aim to create a new streaming experience built together by talents and fans.
